Gippeswyk Hall
Gippeswyk Hall is a 16th century grade II* listed building, which has been taken residence by Red Rose Chain Film and Theatre Company. Our proposals involve demolishing the temporary 1960’s pre-fab building to the back of the hall, and replacing it with a barn-like studio theatre, linking with ancillary accommodation by a low flat-roofed foyer.
The construction of a small timber framed workshop is done to provide an area on site for set building. External repairs are proposed to the existing Hall and internal minor alterations will be carried out within the 19th Century addition to develop a kitchen.
Charles Curry-Hyde LLP are working along NJ Architects and the project is benefitting from a Heritage Lottery Fund grant.
