The National Trust
One of our clients is National Trust who were founded in 1895; they look after coastline, forests, woods, fens, beaches, farmland, moorland, islands, archaeological remains, nature reserves, villages, historic houses, gardens, mills and pubs. As custodians they restore them, protect them and open them up to the public. With over 500 historic houses, castles, ancient monuments gardens and parks and nature reserves throughout the country, this is a mammoth task.
We have been fortunate to work on a number of these buildings throughout the East of England, such as:
- Building The Mill, Mill House and Willy Lott’s Cottage at Flatford
- Thorington Hall, Thorington, Suffolk
- Paycocke’s House, Coggeshall, Essex
- Bourne Mill, Colchester, Essex
These works were part of our term commission with the National Trust and include their inspections and repairs.
